De Cuba con Amor

from Habanera to Salsa

Salon Mexico is producing a series of shows covering the history of Latin
dance and tropical music, from the first Habaneras in Cuba in the 1850's
to the latest styles of Salsa in New York and LA. Along the way we'll
show the evolution of dance and music in Mexico such as Danzón and
Bolero, Cumbia from Columbia and Bachata from the Dominican Republic.
We'll even include the most distant cousin, the Tango from Argentina. And
of course we'll feature Mambo and Cha-cha-cha from the 40's and 50's and
the stepchild of Danzón, the American Rhumba.

We're auditioning musicians, singers and dancers for roles in these
shows. We're looking for talented and enthusiastic performers with good
basic skills. But you don't have to be expert in these styles. We have
arrangers and choreographers. You'll have plenty of opportunity to learn
and add to your repertoire.

Call 533-7750 to arrange an interview of leave a note here. And let us
know a bit about yourself. Your talents, your background, what areas of
music and dance you particularly enjoy.
